Better Than Gelato
Goodbye mind-numbing business classes, hello hunky Italian men…
When Juliet Evans scores a job as a nanny in Italy, she’s ready for a year of excitement and glamour. She is not ready for a diabolical six-year-old who swears like a pirate and hurls silverware with terrifying accuracy.
Still, it’s a small price to pay to explore Milan, take a million photos, and fantasize about becoming a professional photographer. And yes, she knows she has to take over the family business when she returns home, but a little denial never hurt anyone.
And speaking of denial, she is definitely not attracted to research intern, Jake Fields. She barely even notices his adorable dimples and quiet charm. Besides, dating an American in Italy is like eating at McDonald’s in Rome—ridiculous! Yet, despite her best efforts, Juliet finds herself in the bewildering and euphoric grip of first love.
It’s exhilarating! Intoxicating! Even better than gelato! Until it’s the one thing standing in the way of her dreams.
The future she’s always wanted is so close. Now what is she willing to give up to get it?
Based on a true story
After Libby’s freshman year of college, she landed a job as a nanny in Milan. She spent the year nannying, hanging with the greatest group of friends a girl could ever want, and falling in love. Decades later, after letting those experiences simmer in the back of her brain, Libby decided to put it into a novel. Names have been changed, events have been fictionalized, and many things have been omitted to save the author the embarrassment of owning up to the stupid things she did when she was twenty.
Libby in Milan at age 20. Probably about to do something stupid.
Coming June 2026
Bigger Than Versace
Lydia St. Clair is furious. Just because she got kicked out of college again her father thinks he can ship her off to Milan to work as a nanny. And the girl she’s supposed to care for, Isabella Rossi, is more manipulative than Lydia’s last sorority president. There’s no way Lydia’s staying.
Until she finds out that Isabella’s dad Marco is an up-and-coming fashion designer. Lydia has loved fashion since she was toddler and could distinguish between Armani and Versace. Of course she’d never be allowed to study fashion back home. St. Clairs choose respectable careers, like law or medicine. But she’s not at home, is she?
After persuading Marco Rossi to take her on as an intern, Lydia thrives at Rossi Designs. She’s never felt this passionate about anything before. And it doesn’t hurt that she gets to work with Nico Moretti, a gorgeous model who’s also sweet and funny. Yes, things are looking good for Lydia.
Until, like a poorly sewn dress, her life falls apart at the seams.
Fixing things is not one of Lydia’s strengths. When life gets hard, she simply moves on to something easier. But for the first time, she’s created a life and future she doesn’t want to give up. Can she find the courage to stay, or will her pride cost her everything she’s ever wanted?
Coming Spring 2027
Brighter Than Times Square
Italian runway model Isabella Rossi is surrounded by nerds. What started as a ploy to see her favorite band in NYC, has her trapped at the Model United Nations Peace Summit for the summer.
And this conference is intense. Every delegate is a geopolitical expert, and if you don’t know the issues, they’ll eat you alive.
It doesn’t help that the delegate from France is constantly annoying her with his stupid speeches, and insightful opinions, and adorable smile, and sparkling blue eyes… Wait, what was she saying? Right, he’s annoying and she’s going to steer clear of him.
Despite her lack of knowledge and disregard for parliamentary procedure, Isabella is a fierce competitor and her out-of-the-box ideas are moving her up the rankings. The other delegates may underestimate the party girl from Milan, but she’s spent a lifetime of getting people to do what she wants and her negotiation skills are unmatched.
Does Isabella have what it takes to bring home the coveted Peace Cup? Or will she lose her trophy and her heart all in one summer?
